Restorative Oncology

This one of a kind service is tailored for the cancer survivor.

Cancer journeys are often physically, emotionally and financially challenging. While treatments and surgeries are often life saving, these can also leave long lasting, undesired impacts. At Muse, we are proud to offer 7 years and counting of oncologic experience with a comprehensive knowledge on these diagnoses, their treatments, and the changes that happen as a result. Restorative Oncology is a space that not only acknowledges, but encourages the conversations surrounding the aesthetic needs and desires of the cancer survivor and thriver. By combining a variety of modalities and treatments, this service will be tailored to achieve restoration and rejuvenation.

Our
Story

“In my many years of oncology practice, patients have often opened up to me about restoring certain aesthetic aspects after treatment. Too often, my patients are reluctant to talk about these concerns in fear of appearing vain in the face of surviving a potentially lethal disease. From hair changes, to volume loss, I am here to tell them these concerns are valid, and just as important to address as other recovery processes. This is an area that has been neglected for far too long. At Muse, I am not only normalizing this conversation, but empowering patients to feel confident and comfortable about their aesthetic desires and goals."

The Approach

The Journey to Restoration will begin with a detailed consultation where we will discuss your diagnosis and treatment history, followed by your concerns and goals. During this in-person evaluation, we will examine all aspects of your aesthetic wellness and develop a comprehensive plan including recommended services, timeline and budget.

Your treatment plan may include a combination of the following:

Microchanneling

Following intensive treatment, skin can be left looking dull with unwanted texture, discoloration and laxity. Microchanneling works to restore skin's radiance by stimulating collagen production, leaving skin more plump and youthful. It can also reduce the appearance of scars, and can help restore hair loss following chemotherapy or estrogen-blocking therapies.

Biostimulators

Biostimulators help address collagen and volume loss globally across the face. In fact, this was initially studied in chronically ill patients who had suffered severe facial volume loss. After injection, this works continuously over several months to stimulate your body to produce collagen, leaving the skin glowing, and plump.

Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Filler

In certain cases, facial fat pad loss following treatment can be significant. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance in our bodies and is the main component in dermal HA fillers. These are strategically placed in areas of the face that have experienced volume or structure loss. Results are immediate, and last 12-16 months.

Weight Management

Cancer treatments often result in weight changes, whether due to hormonal imbalances, medication effect, or energy changes. Through a combination of behavioral support and prescription medication treatment, we are helping patients return to their goal weight.
